God loves us, and He is concerned about every detail of our lives, both big or small.

Welcome to my first blog! I am just entering into the “blogoshpere.” So here is how this all got started…..
I saw this book in the book store called “Prayers & Promises for Dads”. So I started sending out emails on the entry’s of this book in an email. The book was written especially for dads from a dad’s perspective. The prayers appeal to the emotion as well as the intellect and draw the heart and mind closer to God by expressing thanksgiving, happiness, patience, and obedience. All prayers begin with a scripture quotation. The verses are compelling reminders that God promises to bless dads who speak to Him with humility and live faithfully. As the Bible directs, “Listen, children to a father’s instruction, and be attentive, that you may gain insight; for I give you good precepts: do not forsake my teaching” (Proverbs 4:1-2).
Some times we all have problems with forgetfulness in our spiritual lives. When trials come, we seem to forget that God cares. When we feel lost we forget that He is our guide. When things look impossible,we forget that’s His speciality. Why do we forget? Because we fail to remember God’s promises. We forget the treasured promises in His Word and we forget that not one of His promises has ever failed! I am going to start this blog for all the dads (and soon to be dads) out there with a prayer and promise from this book every morning so that I remind myself to be devoted to His teachings, His promises, and help every one do the same! I will also include a daily Bible verse and a quote from some person in history for those of us that are not daddy’s! I hope you all enjoy them and reflect and try to, maybe, apply them to your life!
